2009-2010 Team Outlook:
|
We will be a young team again that is looking to build confidence and chemistry by the time district arrives. We have some exciting Juniors that got great experience in last year’s campaign and we expect them to continue to improve and become leaders. We also have some Seniors who played on the JV last season and performed really well; those players will have to step up their game to the Varsity level and be contributors in order to reach our goal of making the playoffs in District 9-4A. |

I love playing golf and watching television, movies and sports. I also love playing card games and dominoes. My perfect day would be playing 18 holes in the morning and spending the entire afternoon playing dominoes or poker in the 19th hole while watching college basketball on television with my closest friends. |

We return three starters with a solid group of JV players coming up. We really overachieved last year due to the unity and team play these guys did, finishing 19-14 and winning our final game of the season to win a playoff spot. We return three solid three point shooters as well as two 6’6 players off the JV squad. We have a chance to be really competitive again this season |

All four returning starters received district honors last season but we will need some of our young players to step up and fill the shoes of our leading scorer who graduated. We hope to build on last year’s success and defend our district title. |

2009-2010 Team Outlook:

Next year’s edition of JJ Pearce Basketball will be one with skilled depth. We won’t have any big time athletes, but should have a core group of skilled players that play well together. Matt Holland returns and should have a great Senior season after garnering district 10 4A Newcomer of the year honors. Added depth from the JV should give us a balanced squad next year. |
